You wash, scrub and exfoliate your face on a regular basis, but to no avail. The pesky acne problem still persists and doesn’t seem to be going away no matter how many medicated products you may purchase. People often make the mistake of using harsh chemicals on their acne prone skin and this can create further problems. A solid word of advice for people is to treat their skin exactly the way they want to be treated; nicely. Rather than opting for products that comprise of harsh chemicals, it is best to bring a change in your routine and incorporate natural treatments that will not cause any irritation to the skin.
There are a horde of natural treatments that can be used to fight acne. Some of them are discussed below:
Tea Tree Oil
This particular oil is a natural antiseptic and an anti-inflammatory. This oil has the ability of combating acne without drying out the skin too much, which most oils do. Pure tea tree oil can be used as a spot treatment and be applied directly onto the blemishes or people can also get an organic cleaner that contains tea tree oil. Wash your face with it at least twice a day, once in morning and once at night.
Witch Hazel
The problem with most products in the market is that when they get rid of the oil and debris, they tend to over dry the skin. It is better to use witch hazel, which is a natural astringent, and can effectively reduce inflammation and minimize the pores at the same time.
Egg Whites
An inexpensive and easy way to combat acne is egg whites. Pores can be tightened and excess oil can be removed from the skin through a plain egg white mask. Apart from that, egg whites also play the role of a vehicle for delivering the advantages of other natural ingredients to the skin as well. For instance, a gentle scrub can be created by combining egg whites with walnut powder or oatmeal. A rejuvenating mask can be made by adding lemon or honey to it.
Oatmeal
Acne-prone and sensitive skin can benefit greatly through exfoliating. But, over exfoliating can prove to be harmful for the skin in the long run. In addition, skin will be irritated by harsh scrubs that have large beads and this will lead to more breakouts. A gentle oatmeal exfoliate can be used for sloughing off dead skin cells that end up clogging skin pores. A mega mask can also be made by adding yogurt and honey to this exfoliate.
Green Clay
Green clay has mineral properties that work just like magic. They can tighten the pores and cleanse the skin off impurities and also provide gentle exfoliation for acne-prone and sensitive skin. Before applying this mask onto the skin, it is best to steam your face as this will open the pores and boost the effects of green clay. While the mask is applied, you can also place some cucumber slices over the eyes to get the blissful spa feeling.
With these natural products, acne can be combated effectively.
