A painful neck is really unpleasant as your neck has plenty of movement everyday. The muscles and ligaments in your neck play an important role in your motion. There are a great numbers of causes of neck pain, but some of the most common ones are:

Here are some effective home remedies for treating neck pain:

1. Ice Pack

Ice pack is really familiar to all of us and it is also easy to use for getting rid of neck pain. Its cold temperature can relieve your pain and eliminate inflammation.

How to use:

  • Smash the ice into smaller pieces and put them in a plastic bag
  • Use a washcloth to cover the plastic bag with ice inside it
  • Apply it to your neck for less than 15 minutes
  • Keep doing this twice or 3 hours for the first day

Note: Do not directly put the ice on your skin.

2. Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is another really simple tip to treat your neck pain. The pressure of water can ease your pain effectively.

How to use:

  • Use a shower to spray warm water to your neck in 3 to 4 minutes
  • Spray cold water to your neck after that in 30 seconds to 1 minute
  • Keep doing this until it gets better, hot water can rise blood circulation and cold water can eases inflammation

  • Add a spoon of this powder to a cup of milk

7. Ginger
