The company claims their brand will increase energy, boost your metabolism, help your body tone up, and flush out toxins.  We will go over the ingredients and whether it works for weight loss.

Green Tea Extract:

This plant extract is usually brewed as a tea, has antioxidants and stimulants.  Studies have shown that taking concentrated green tea extracts can lead to liver problems.  The National Center for Complementary and Integrative health has warned that abdominal pain, yellow skin, and dark urine are signs of serious liver problems.  Warning – healthy people have suffered from organ damage from green tea extract.

Other side effects include headaches, insomnia, jitters, cold sweats, rapid heartbeat, convulsions, confusion, mood swings, and many other side effects.

Guarana Extract:

The plant seed is found in the Amazon and contains stimulant compounds for increased energy, increased metabolism, and to promote fat burning.  Guarana could possibly be unsafe if taken by mouth in high doses over a long period of time.

Sucralose:

This is a noncaloric, artificial sweetener that is over 1,000 times more sweet than sucrose.  The Center for Science demoted this ingredient from safe to caution, believing it is potentially dangerous.

Blood sugar is raised due to sucralose and should not have that effect.  Sucralose fed to mice had lowered good gut bacteria that is needed to support the immune system.  It also led to the promotion of P-Glycoprotein which the body releases when potential toxins enter.

This is a fiber extract from the konjac plant.  It’s used to regulate blood sugar and suppress the appetite.  It’s advised to drink plenty of fluids as it can lead to choking and blockages.
