Remedies to Cure Lethargy

Lethargy can be a cause due to poor nutrition, stress, improper functioning of thyroid and adrenal glands and overexertion. Women might suffer from this condition particularly during menopause.  Certain diseases such as gastritis, measles, hepatitis, diabetes, indigestion, mononucleosis can also cause lethargy. Few symptoms of lethargy include loss of appetite, body aches, fatigue, lack of concentration, changes in bowel movements and sleeplessness. When the person is suffering from lethargy, he/she may not show interest in daily activities and don’t feel like concentrating on any work.

The person suffering from lethargy should consult a doctor, if his/her condition is critical. However, herbal remedies can be used to treat most of the symptoms of lethargy.

Siberian Ginseng:

An effective remedy to cure lethargy is using Siberian Ginseng. This herb can increase the number of WBC (white blood cells) and also eliminate invading cells which have been virally infected. Ginkgo Biloba:

Extracts of ginkgo leaves have many medicinal properties and are used pharmaceutically. It helps improve blood circulation thereby making you feel energetic. Ginkgo Biloba even protects adrenal and liver glands from damage caused by free radicals and thereby reduces the symptoms of lethargy.
