Chamomile:

This herbal tea when consumed regularly can reduce the symptoms such as restlessness which is due to insomnia. This herb can also be used to improve the process of digestion. However, nursing mothers and pregnant women should not consume this herbal tea. Put this herb in the boiling water and simmer it for few minutes. Strain the solution. Drink this tea twice in the morning and once while going to bed.

Hypericum perforatum:

It is often called ST. John’s wort, a flowering plant used as a medicinal herb. Studies mentioned that this herb is used for treating depression. This herb has many medicinal properties useful to treat inflammation, muscle pains etc. It helps induce sleep as well. Consume half spoon of hypericum perforatum tincture thrice a day to get rid of insomnia.

Kava:

Kava or Kava-Kava is an herb known for its anesthetic and sedative properties. The roots of this plant are often used to produce a drink which has sedative properties. Close the lid and strain the solution. Consume this tea thrice a day. You can also use lavender oil to massage your foot before going to bed.

Passion Flower:

Passion flower or passiflora is a flowering plant which can be used in the treatment of insomnia.  It is used in the treatment of anxiety and has sedative properties as well. Prepare herbal tea using two teaspoons of dried passion flower with a cup of water and strain the solution. Consume it thrice a day.
